  • All ADO.NET topics
  • Connecting and Retrieving data
  • Introduction to in-memory data structures (DataSets, DataTables, DataViews)
  • Library docs

  You could find a well-reviewed book on Amazon but it's just going to present the MSDN documentation in a different format.

• The ADO.NET Core Reference by David Sceppa was my introduction to .NET in general. It's really well written and covers all the major data-access parts of the framework.
